About us

TapFound started close to home.

We're part of a big, close community with a lot of children: sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends' kids. Family gatherings, days out, school runs and busy weekends all come with the same quiet worry: what if one of them wanders off or gets hurt, and the person who finds them doesn't know who to call?

We wanted something simple that would help keep them safe, without tracking them or putting their details on show. We couldn't find quite the right thing, so we decided to make it.

Ubi

PhD researcher in AI and machine learning

Ubi has a lot of nieces and nephews, and makes sure TapFound is built the careful way: it keeps only what it needs, and every detail stays hidden until you switch it on.

Omar

Certified first aider and father of two daughters

Omar knows the first few minutes matter most, and that a stranger who wants to help needs the right information in the right order. That's how every TapFound page is laid out.

We're young, and we believe technology should quietly help people, not watch them. So TapFound does one simple thing well: one tap puts whoever finds or helps your child, your parent or your pet in touch with you, without them needing an app, and with nothing shared that you haven't chosen to share.

What we care about

Privacy first

Nothing personal is stored on the band. Every detail stays hidden until you switch it on, and you can delete everything at any time.

The first few minutes

Each page is laid out for a stranger who wants to help: who to call, what to do and what to avoid.

Simple for everyone

The person who finds them needs no app and no account: tap, read, call. You manage everything from any phone or computer, and we're working on an optional app for owners who'd like one.

Say hello

We'd love to hear from you, whether it's an idea, a question, or TapFound for your school or venue.
