An emergency ID band for a parent who lives alone

If your mum or dad is taken ill at the shops or falls on a walk, the person who helps them (a passer-by, a shop assistant, a paramedic) needs their details and a way to reach you.

Example page. Every detail is hidden until you choose to show it.

What matters most, first

The page opens with the button to call 999, then their conditions and medication. Blood thinners, heart conditions and diabetes are exactly what a paramedic needs to know.

It isn't an alarm

If they fall at home with nobody there, the band can't call for help. It works when someone finds them. Many families use it alongside a personal alarm, not instead of one.

You hear first

The moment the band is tapped, you're alerted, so you can speak to whoever is helping and get there if you need to.

If they have Alzheimer's or dementia

Choose the dementia layout instead. It puts calling family and how to keep them calm first, ahead of medical details, and you can switch at any time.

Set it up together

This is your parent's information. Set it up with them, and let them choose what's shown.

What you can include

Every detail is hidden until you switch it on, and you can change it at any time without a new band.

Set up a profile for your parent

In an emergency, always call 999 first.
